The Ultimate Dictionary is a collection of more than 33 dictionaries of four languages in a single program.

This massive dictionary database includes four languages: English, French, Spanish and Polish. The more than 33 dictionaries include dictionaries, thesauruses and glossaries. When you look up one word, it checks all the dictionaries simultaneously, providing more meanings than you will probably ever need. There are several additions available at the developer's website, including an audio pack for American English, more dictionaries, as well as a Spanish version of the dictionary interface, which is normally intended for English speakers.

The program itself is simple, consisting of a single dialogue box with one data entry field at the top. You search for the word, and a list of meanings populates the right side of the box, while the left side contains the list of dictionaries you can choose from.

The Ultimate Dictionary is an open-source program based on an obscure program called StarDict, probably familiar only to those who know a bit about Linux. Its installation file is 159MB, but the program itself does not take much computer power to run. For the most part, the program is just a collection of resource files. To run the installation package, simply point the setup program to the directory you'd like to install to, and it should self-extract.

There have been several reports of corrupted installation files and incomplete setups, in which case you may want to contact the developer for support.
